Past Me..

When I was a kid, I used to make all kinds of lists. Like my favorite colors in order of most to least, what I want to be when I grow up, even random things like what I ate for a week. Well.. I found a list I did in my freshman year of college. I found a list of 30 random facts about me.. I know I'm weird, but some are still true and some aren't. Goes to show how much I've changed or grew up since my first year in college.

  • 1.      I have this thing for robots. I don’t know how it started, but I like robots.
  • 2.       I’m a very dexterous person so I like to make things. Like I made a carpet before and a magic wallet. I’ve crocheted a purse, made moccasins, made a doll, and refurbished a jacket I bought from a thrift store.
  • 3.       I’ve been to over seven countries: Mexico, Indonesia, Australia, England, Ireland, Italy, France, Philippines, Amsterdam,...
  • 4.       I used to take ballet lessons and singing lessons.
  • 5.       I used to play the flute.
  • 6.       I used to collect beanie babies. I still have tons of them, though.
  • 7.       When I was six or seven years old, my mom made my sister and I go for commercial auditions because we’re twins. Apparently twins were in demand. And I cried because I didn’t want to be on TV. I cried a lot when I was a kid.
  • 8.       I get sick often and it takes me a while to get rid of it.
  • 9.       I love spicy food.
  • 10.   It’s not like I’m addicted to working out, but I love endorphins.
  • 11.   I like thrift store shopping. They have the coolest stuff there!
  • 12.   I used to be a major tomboy when I was younger. I used to cut my hair soooo short, like a boy, every summer.
  • 13.   I broke the 3 digits, as in weight, my senior year of high school.
  • 14.   I think I have progressively shrunk because my doctor said I was 5’4 three years ago, 5’3 two years ago, and 5’2 a year ago. I just take the average and tell people I’m 5’3.
  • 15.   I find writing 30 random facts about myself really hard because I’m a very ordinary/boring person.
  • 16.   I like to care for and help people.
  • 17.   I can cook fairly well, clean, and sow. People say I’m set to be a wife.
  • 18.   I have a short term memory. Nothing traumatic happened to me to be like that, though.  I’m just bad at remembering things, that’s all.
  • 19.   I’m fickle.
  • 20.   People say I’m smart, but in truth, I just work very hard.
  • 21.   I used to own: a canary, a fish, a few dogs, a bunny, and a turtle. They all went to heaven. :(
  • 22.   When I go home from weeks of college, I like to relax by watching cartoons.
  • 23.   My favorite fruit is the fuyu persimmon.
  • 24.   I usually don’t like eating chocolate because it’s too sweet. That goes for cakes, cookies, and brownies as well.
  • 25.   I wear retainers every night.
  • 26.   My favorite Bible verse is Proverbs 3:4-6
  • 27.   I started playing piano when I was three years old, yet I still suck at the piano.
  • 28.   I never had a job.
  • 29.   I know how to hula and Tahitian dance, but just the basics.
  • 30.   I like all racket sports. I play tennis, badminton, recently racquetball and ping pong.

Kites are the best inventions ever!

Kevin and I went kiting. (; It took us a while to put the owl-like kite together. 20 minutes later.. our owl kite was in the air, soaring and flapping like a real owl. Flying a kite is soo fun. I am amazed how God's breath (wind) can keep it up and flying so high.

Sister's appreciation Day

God is good for providing a loving small group, where I can grow and feel like a part of Edge still. I'm blessed and thankful to be in the Skittles (Cats on Mars) small group. (:

Actual Valentine's Day

Valentines is an overrated holiday when you're alone, but I thank God that I have someone special in my life. Kevin made me dinner while I was in my midterm review. Korean tacos with the mango salsa and spinach/artichoke dip as appetizers. For the main entree, steak and potatoes topped with Stella Rosa wine. Thanks for an amazing day! (:

Pre-Valentine's Date

Kevin took me to Segerstrom Hall to see the Pacific Symphony featuring Roberta Flack! Thanks, Babe!
