Public Speaking

Today is the second official day of summer. What started out to be a disappointing, unproductive summer has finally turned a little better for me. GOD is always so good.

I attended my first community college class ever! It's interesting how it's so different from UCI because it reminds me of the episode series called "Community," a show that my sister have been watching. Haha!

Though I am frightened about speaking in front of lots of people.. I'm looking forward to become a better speaker. I'm looking forward to have more confidence. I'm just glad that I got into a summer class! GOD is so good!

Summer Time!

This time around last year, I remember the excitement of getting ready to travel. I packed, I hung out with friends, and say my goodbyes too many times before I actually went off to England.

It's this time around again.. but what's going on this year? I have no idea! So many things up in the air, jobs to find, summer classes to try to get into.

I just want to...

Passed!

Besides high school graduation, today is the first day of my adult life that I actually felt like I accomplished something. I PASSED the Pharmacy Technician Certification Examination (PTCE)!! I am officially a pharm tech!

Many Thanks to:
God - He gave me strength and calmness in the midst of fear. I was literally in my car, blasting the FISH as I drove to the pearsonVue center.
Kevin- for pushing me to be someone better and for believing in me that I can do anything. He told me to take the test like last summer.. and gave me an ultimatum to get it the end of mu junior year. I can't thank him enough for making me motivated.
My parents - because they paid for the $129 test.. they didn't even know I was planning to take it.. But they seem happy when I told them the news!
My sister - she watched me as I literally crammed 1 day and a half before taking the test. She texted me right at 1 when she knew I was leaving to Anaheim.

I make it sound like this accomplishment is a big deal.. but it's because IT IS A BIG DEAL! I think it was a big accomplishment for me because I got over my fear more then anything else. God is good!

Last small group...

There are so many words I can use to describe my small group... Unique, non-conformist, serving, willing, different backgrounds, special... One word I would definitely use is that our small group is Beloved.

With different girls from different backgrounds, all not from the Edge, I got to learn so much through them. It's amazing how God can put completely opposite people together and bring unity through His word and love. I'd say our small group is Beloved because no matter what each girl went through, the commonality is that God loves each and everyone of us. And the fact that we grasp God's love, we were able to love and respect each other as women and brides of God. God is soo Good and I'm thankful for all He has done through this small group.Though it started hard with inconsistencies to lack of leadership to being burnt out, I can't thank God enough for letting me meet the girls that came through our small group.

The best small group study was when all the girls actually came on the same day. It was mid second quarter and the girls met each other there for the first time. We did an encouragement activity where we put strings of encouragement on each other. We encouraged the girl to the left. What was so beautiful was that though they didn't know each other, the girls were able to speak from their hearts as if they saw each girl like how God saw her. I don't know if what I'm saying makes sense... but that day was the most inspiring time I had in small groups.

We aren't the most typical small group with Edge people in it. We have no name or have any t-shirt designs to label us. We are unique in itself, because we choose to Love God by serving Others. We are the service small group! 2010-2011!

MySpace memories...

Strolling through my Myspace.. and I wondered.. delete? or don't delete?  The only reason I hesitate to not delete is because it has my old high school memories and pictures... Oh well. It's deleted. I got to save the pictures. Anyways... here are some pictures I stumbled on.

Gifts!

Ultimately, your strengths (your God given talents) are what will distinguish your work and ultimately your success. It is your job to ensure that your ventures move in the direction of your strengths.

What are your gifts?

I took a test and these are my top 3 gifts:

MIRACLES: 1 Cor. 12:10,28 - to be enabled by God to perform mighty deeds which witnesses acknowledge to be of supernatural origin and means.

SERVICE: Rom. 12:7 - to identify undone tasks in God's work, however menial, and use available resources to get the job done (Greek Word: diakonia - deacon, attendant 'diako'=to run errands).

LEADERSHIP: Rom. 12:8 - to stand before the people in such a way as to attend to the direction of the body with such care and diligence so as to motivate others to get involved in the accomplishment of these goals
